Wollastonite – Metaphysical Meaning & Properties

Wollastonite Healing Properties

Wollastonite: The Key to Moderation

Wollastonite is a calcium silicate mineral, and was named after William Hyde Wollaston, a British chemist and physicist.  Wollastonite is fairly uncommon in crystal healing, because it is used more in industrial applications.

Wollastonite is associated with Calcite, Diopside, and Epidote. It also exhibits fluorescence, similar to Fluorite.

Wollastonite can be found in colors ranging from white to light green, and light pink (Manganowollastonite).

Metaphysically, Wollastonite can assist with opening yourself up to revealing your inner beauty to the world.  It resonates with the Crown Chakra, which relates to the spiritual world.  Keeping a piece of Wollastonite within your magnetic field can help you awaken to higher healms, while opening your consciousness to feel and understand the mysteries of the universe.  It can affirm the fact that everything is connected, and make you aware of the effects of your actions before you select a specific path.

Wollastonite assists with moderation and grounding.  If you feel the desire to indulge but it goes against your highest truth/good, Wollastonite can divert those feelings.

All things in moderation, including moderation. – Oscar Wilde

Keeping a crystal of Wollastonite will serve as a constant reminder of your greatest self, so you don’t need to overindulge.

To balance the Crown and Heart Chakras, Wollastonite and Epidote can be used together, as they complement each other.

Note: Crystal healing & other energy healing modalities work on an energetic level and are spiritual in nature. They should be used as a complement to and not serve as a replacement for regular medical & or psychological care & consultation.
